George B. Durant was born in Vermont on January 26, 1834, and lived in West Manchester, Pennsylvania; Cambridge City, Indiana; and Boyd, Kentucky. He had at least one brother, Alexander, and one sister, Eliza Ann. He and his wife, Nannie F. Boyd (1840-1906) of Cynthiana, Kentucky, had children named Boyd, Bell, Sudie, Lena, Georgia, Albert Chandler, and George Forrest. George B. Durant died in 1921.
